The Mascaro Center offers several opportunities for organizations to collaborate and work with the center’s faculty and students. In addition to overseeing Pitt's project-based Sustainability Capstone course, the center regularly connects its students and faculty with a variety of local community service and classroom engagement opportunities.

Sustainability Capstone

The Sustainability Capstone is a project-based course focusing on enabling interdisciplinary student teams to synthesize comprehensive solutions to complex real-world sustainability challenges.

Service

The Mascaro Center's students, faculty, and staff participate in and lead a variety of sustainability-focused service initiatives throughout the Pittsburgh community, including through the annual Undergraduate Summer Research Program by collaborating with student organizations to develop and carry out a variety of service projects.

The Mascaro Center often partners with educational centers to help them to enrich their curricula with sustainability-focused content and on-campus experiences both in the classroom and through interactive tours and activities.
