The Master of Science in Sustainable Engineering (MS SE) is housed within the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation (MCSI), with the degree granted from the Swanson School of Engineering.
The 30-credit program is designed to prepare students to identify and solve sustainability issues using systems approaches in the context of environmental, social, and economic problems.
Students will foster sustainable technologies, science, and practices in the U.S. and abroad.
The Sustainability Capstone is the capstone course for the Mascaro Center's Undergraduate Certificate in Sustainability and MS in Sustainable Engineering degree.
This project-based course provides interdisciplinary teams of students with the opportunity to partner with external stakeholders and synthesize solutions to complex, real-world sustainability challenges.
The Circular Economy Program is open to all graduate students and professionals seeking to develop their skills and knowledge of circular economy. It also includes a graduate-level Circular Economy Certificate.
The MCSI Summer Research Program is intended for both Pitt undergraduate and master's level students interested in gaining hands on experiences related to the broad topic of sustainability.
